This 5k+ obstacle race is really different from other popular events. Designed by veteran firefighters, the course and obstacles simulate the hard-core challenges that firefighters face every day, like climbing up ladders, sliding down poles, crawling through windows and facing smoke, sirens, lots of water and tight spaces! This event will challenge experienced athletes, but also be a fun way to get out and get active for those who aren't as experienced.
In our festival area (the Inferno Midway) spectators and runners both can try their firefighter skills on stand-alone obstacles and challenges. Plus there will be great food & beverage options, entertainment, music, merchandise and more. We're inviting local fire departments to get involved by doing demonstrations and promoting public safety. For families, there's two kid's adventure courses. And we're partnering with national and local fire service charities to ensure part of our proceeds go back to the firefighting community.
